"What are we afraid of? Are we forgetting that children are a part of our society, too? That they are citizens just like you and me? That if we were to show them a scene of robbery that they will turn to a life of robbery, or a scene of murder that they will become murderer's? No!"

Quote from William M. Gains, editor and CEO of EC (Entertainment Comics).
---------------------------------And Now!!!--------------------------------

Well, the sun WAS out for a few days and the weather man did seem like he was telling the truth because we had rain yesterday... and I had to walk home in it. I checked my cell phone as I got home to see that my mother had offered me a ride but did I check my cell? No! That would have been smart but Kerry wasn't smart yesterday. It was a hard, LONG LONG LONG LONG day. But we got a lot done.

Wish I could say the same about art. I've been drawing like 4 images at a time lately to try and get enough stuff for the cons but I'm just running out of ideas! I don't want a ton of Naruto fanart cause lets face it, Kerry hates to draw Naruto. I don't enjoy it but I know the rest of you do like my fanart. So keep that in mind in the future when I do commissions.

Speaking of commissions; I am going to be reopening my commission slot for the summer. I have a few I gotta get out before K-con but I will reopen the slot like around .... lets say May or June. I think May I should have the stomach for it. I will make a few exceptions: I don't think I wanna do too much Naruto fanart this time around. I had a lot of them last time and I just haven't really gotten into drawing any characters from that series but just ask me and we'll negotiate something. OC's are always welcomed but I just need a full description weather it be drawn or if you just want to purchase a drawing for reference. Those are slightly cheaper.

I got 30 Days of Night last Tuesday and I am so happy to have it in my collection! I just love the Graphic Novel by Steve Niles and the movie totally rocked my world. I was in seventh heaven when I saw it the first day. Only issue with the special extras: the Blue Ray has the darn "Comic Book to Movie: Talk with Steve Niles" thing for the extras. Now, I'm official straight budget here. I can't go outside of $20 for personal money on my special purchases. So, if I wanted that I'd have to buy a Blue Ray player AND the darn Blue Ray disk which is an extra $30+ bucks if not $40. NOT FAIR! Oh well. I guess I talk with Steve online so much I pretty much know but I wanted to see fully how they did the background and made barrow look so close to the comic. If you weren't impressed by the movie or the vamps (how could you not be, is my big question even if they did talk funny.... that's how they talk, actually but not in the book. Purely ';punk' English) then be impressed with the visuals. The visual effects and DP were really going out of there way on the feel of the film. Very nice.

Well, I best be off. Got a lot of work to do today. I will be posting some new chibi's soon, most likely in a set or something. Don't wanna just over pack my gallery with singles. And remember Portland Comic Book show #70 is the first show of the new season for Kerry. Check back for more details.

my boyfriend and I picked up 30 days of night thanks to you mostly and a preview. I'm not a big horror buff but it looked good. The annoying thing is I can't get him to watch it once the sun goes down so we haven't watched it yet. lol.

I was also thinking. You don't have to do fan art of just naruto. I'm sick of seeing that stuff everywhere anyway. Aparently the popular anime now is Death Note. (I don't see why. lol) thing is I'd like to see things by clamp more. Not just X of tsubasa and xxxaholic but their old stuff like CLover and Wish. lol. Your image from Magic Knights Rayearth recently was fantastic. lol. i'm waiting to see Umi and Fuu.
I was actually going to make more Clamp art work, now that you mention it. I agree. I think it would sell. I want to do some Clamp Campus Detective fanart and CCS. I am working on Fuu and Umi. Heheh! *bows*

Your BF won't watch "30 Days" after the sun sets? Wow! Must be that scary to him... as it should be. That comic scared the shit out of me when I first read it but the movie was equally scary. I think the lack of music really helped make the movie isolated.

lol. we still haven't watched the movie. I'm looking forward to the pics of Umi and Fuu. Are you going to Sakura Con btw? A friend of mine managed to convince me...(by bribeing me with Ali Project) to go. So I'll be there for a day, maybe two. If I am lucky I'll have a costume to wear. If not, well I like Suigintou from Rozen Maiden. So I'll be taking it along. lol.
Oh I know you'll like the film. There isn't much of a story but one hell of a back story that really makes the series something else. It's scary.

As for Sakuracon.... I know peeps want me to go but I really can't. Too expensive and it's kinda hard to get up there with my limited time frame. But I am going to Emerald City comic con and Portland Comic book show #70, as well as Kumoricon.

lol. ok. I was just curious. Eventually, I'm going to watch that movie.
Right on!

And I took your advice about Clamp fanart: I'm working on some of my favorite Clamp stories for fanart this year. I'm also going to try and do some Slayers and Rozen Maiden fanart cause I just love the manga series. I think Suieginto and the twins are my favs.

oh woot! I cosplayed suigintou last year at K-con. I'm gonna do it again this year too. She's my fave. I can't wait to see it.
I'll try to get some done. I've been drawing alot of Clamp fanart this year and I guess I should venture elsewhere as well. Heheh!

hum, lets see what else I could suggest. you might check out basilisk, it was pretty good. you'd probably have fun with the characters in it. um, if i think of more i'll drop you a note or something lol. it's late.
